2010 UPCOMING THEMES FOR GUEST ARTISTS

  April 2010: FOOLS RUSH IN. Art is due  Wednesday, March 31, 11-2 pm ONLY. April is the month of April fools: have fun, be silly!

May 2010: LOST IN THE 50’s.  Art is due on Wednesday, May 5 ONLY, 11-2 pm. Get retro and bring us artwork that shows any aspect of life (clothing, music, dancing, drive-ins, etc) in the 1950s.

June 2010: BOATS. Art is due Wednesday Jun 2 ONLY, 11-2 pm. This is more specific than we usually get with our themes, but think how many different kinds of boats there are, and how many different ways there are to paint or sculpt or photograph them!

July 2010: WET AND WILD. Art is due  Wednesday June 20 ONLY, 11-2 pm. It’s summer and time for the lake or the river or the ocean — or the pool or the mud hole after the rain.

Please note: You are encouraged to be creative and make your own connections to any given theme.

Artwork will only be accepted for guest shows on the day and times noted above (this is the Wednesday before First Friday, when the show will open). A $15 showing fee will be collected for each work submitted, and selected artwork must hang in the gallery until the end of the show (and be picked up on the Wednesday the next show’s work is accepted).

All artwork submitted must be finished, dry, framed and wired, ready to hang; all artwork must be titled and priced (it must be for sale). If the work sells, the artist will be paid 65% of the posted sales price (35% commission to the gallery) at the end of the month.
