CrossRoads Gallery in March

CrossRoads Gallery has some great things in store for art lovers during the month of March. Starting the month off right will be a new art show opening on First Friday, March 4,featuring guest artists in

“Outdoor Adventures.”

Member artists featured with new displays will be Suzan Christenson , Lynne freeman and Jenny Zur, along with gallery manager Jim Wilson’s newest artist signee Ellie Korn.

Suzan, Lynne and Jenny are life-long artists and long-time Tehachapi residents/CrossRoads member artists, each bringing a different and unique vision to the gallery with their work. Ellie is new to us and is already causing a stir with the work she has on display. All of these artists will be premiering new works in March.

Artist Barbara Rossi will be the featured artist at Union Bank in early March, as part of the CrossRoads Art Placement Program, coordinated with various businesses around town by member artist Nancy Waldorn.

Art is everywhere, and art is for everyone, but you won’t find a better collection of local artists – or a more pleasant, friendly and welcoming place to enjoy it – than you will at CrossRoads Gallery itself. Boasting some 30 members with art work ranging from paintings to jewelry to pottery, the gallery is a visual wonder of different styles, media, presentation and subject matters. And each month, different artists are featured to shine a little extra light on the creative expressions of those who are truly talented and skilled with their various forms of artwork.

The artists of CrossRoads Gallery started the traditional First Friday events in Tehachapi in October of 2006, and have been going strong ever since. In addition to CrossRoads, art-related business participants in the First Friday festivities now regularly include Gallery N Gifts, Oak Tree Arts and Antiques, and Fiddler’s Crossing, making the evening a true art walk around historic downtown Tehachapi.

CrossRoads Gallery is located at 101 East Tehachapi Boulevard, in the center of historic downtown Tehachapi. First Friday will be a great chance for visitors to see the new art and meet the artists. Call 822-5242 for more information
