Alejandra Whittier at Cross Roads Gallery

Alejandra Whittier

The exquisite and original one-of-a-kind jewelry of Alejandra Whittier will be featured at CrossRoads Gallery in February.

A Tehachapi resident now for over three years – with husband Adam and cats Nairobi and McKinley – Alejandra was born, raised and educated in Mexico, earning a Bachelor of Industrial Design degree from the University of Monterrey.

Along the way, her interest in design prompted her to teach herself jewelry design, often incorporating the use of metals and natural stones.

“While I was working abroad in Quito, Ecuador,” she explains, “my boss was a jeweler and it always intrigued me how he was able to make all these beautiful pieces. From then on I always had the idea to learn how to make jewelry…to give people the opportunity to enjoy really unique and fun jewelry pieces.”

Fans of Alejandra’s work will tell you she has far exceeded her desires by creating pieces of art (at reasonable prices!) that few other jewelry designers can match. Her work can be seen regularly at CrossRoads Gallery and is often featured at Tehachapi Museum, Bear Valley Springs art shows and other local fairs and shows.
