Tammara Scott

Tammara Scott is a Mixed Media Artist from San Marcos, California, in addition to being the owner of Mixed Media Artistry. Although creative from an early age, Tammy she did not actively pursue the arts until the last few years. Then, inspired by an older cousin, she picked up a paint brush and discovered that she had some talent for art.

While enjoying the ability to design and create, Tammy also found she had a love for teaching, which to her genuine surprise was accepted well by the retail community. Within a short period of time she was teaching in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Escondido and Temecula. She loves to work with all age groups but older adults are her favorite.

In this last year Tammara has built her own studio and hosts retreats as well as visits from other artists. She has a love of travel and says that while travel is fun it is even better when she can teach at the same time.

Tammy became a mixed media artist due to her love of incorporating many mediums and “working outside the normal box.” To date her true love is polymer clay.

Tammara is a published artist in magazines such as Stampington and PolymerCafe, and she had the honor of an Independent Art Show in IndieDVD. She also has a book out titled Mixed Media Artistry Presents Projects I. According to Tammara there is nothing more exciting then to see your work in print.

“As an artist I love color and texture in my work. I want the person who is viewing the piece to feel as if they can reach out and touch it. Even if it is a picture.

“Art is Magical and can give people a whole new outlook on life.
