Nancy Waldron

I was born and raised in San Jose, California, and moved to Tehachapi in 1998. My painting started in the 1980s with oils and acrylics, but I fell in love with watercolor after taking lessons from local artist, David Reinhart.

Now watercolor is my passion. I love the way colors blend on paper and create beautiful values and hues.

When retirement came, I decided to get more serious about painting and started a weekly painting group, meeting at the Art Center in town. I am also one of the founders of Watercolor Enthusiasts of Tehachapi (WETheads). We meet once a month for plein aire painting (Tehachapi provides loads of outdoor locations for inspiration!).

Mel White has opened her doors at the Crossroads Gallery to me, and I am very excited to have my work presented to Tehachapi. I love to paint for the sheer joy of it and it is great when someone chooses one of my pieces to take home and share their space with them.
